I was so happy when she announced that she would continue to post her sketches this year!
I try to do them all, even if I am a bit late sometimes ;)

Just Perfect!!!

I'm so loving this layout I made last night!!! Using BG Ambrosia papers and coordinations cardstock, paints and mist, it turned out better than I'd thought it would! I think it's my new favorite LO :D

I started off using a sketch from twistedsketches, but didn't complete the twist this week, which was to use numbers.
Unable to find any embellies in my stash that worked with this page, I decided to use a new technique I picked up from Glenda.(check out her blog here)
I printed off an eagle image I found on the internet and traced it onto stencil paper and then cut it out with my exacto knife. I then placed it on my page and sprayed it with Diet Cola Memories Mist.
I finished it off with a bit of paint on the corners and some bubblewrap monoprinting.

Jan 25 LO share

This LO was made using the January kit from Scrapbook Star. I just love this photo of me and my babes. She totally couldn't care that I am using her as a pillow. I think I slept there like that for a couple hours :)



If you didn't know, there was an online crop this weekend at Scrapbook Star. I managed to complete a few challenges...

For Glenda's Get Painty challenge, I did this LO of my god daughter and , using the new BG-Sugar Rush








I also used BG-Sugar Rush for Tara's challenge--something new.
We had to scrap a LO, using new products or a new technique.
She made some gorgeous flowers on her page, I am totally going to have to try the tutorial, but first need to get me a 6-petal flower punch. I made these 2 pages about the Vancouver 2010 Olympic torch relay.



































Tina's Challenge was to distress your page, again with the BG, Indian Summer this time, I made this LO. Distressing with the distress tool and inks.











Fleur's challenge was to scrap a new or a first. This is my son getting his black belt and my husband promoting him. The background is also from BG Sugar Rush and the pp is older BG from the Ambrosia line. The LO is based on sketch #2 from Jemma's sketch friday.




















I also made a card for Melissa's challenge, but didn't post it in time. Im not too happy with how it turned out so I rather not upload it anyway ;) I'm not the greatest cardmaker.

Skating

So, for Christmas this year, my darling son paid half for a pair of ice skates for me and agreed to teach me how... so yesterday we went out to public skate, and brought along a few people and I learned to skate! and GUESSS WHAT??!!! I didn't even fall once!! I was so nervous at first, I had to have someone to hang onto, but after about half an hour I was skating on my own and doing great! It was so much fun, I can't wait to go again :D

inspired

Its been about two weeks since my last LO. (sounds like a confession lol)

So, yea, I had lost my mojo! Other than being super busy with life and work and school, I just had no drive to scrap. But thankfully, its back :) I got this page done in less than an hour! Which is amazingly fast for me ;) and I have another on the go.

My inspiration comes from many sources...
firstly, there is this new challenge blog called Dirty Scraps. This page is for their first challenge, to scrap a peeve with a positive side.
secondly, I used the 3rd sketch from Sketch Friday, found HERE
and lastly, I love the January kit from Scrapbook Star! I know I am late breaking it out, but wow its great!!!

1. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
When I was a kid I had a good friend who shared my birthday. Also my MIL who passed 2 years ago had the same birthday.

2. Where was your first kiss?
I honestly have no idea.

3. Have you ever seriously vandalized someone else’s property?
No

4. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex?
No but I do enjoy choking or armlocking them occasionally.

5. Have you ever sung in front of a large number of people?
Yes I have sung karoke. I was very drunk and the audience was probably very relieved when I was done.

6. What’s the first thing you notice about your preferred sex?
Their eyes and smile

7. What really turns you off?
Self absorbed people and smokers.

I have never ordered anything at starbucks. I don't like coffee or tea.

no.

I have never worn high heels. I doubt I ever will. I'd probably end up hurting myself if I did.

Yes. I often get Lauren Graham and once Pink.

Yes! I love wizards of waverly place

No, my teeth were perfect until my wisdom teeth came in.

I always wished I was shorter but I suppose I am happy with my hieght. Nothing I can do about it anyway.

When you willingly clean up after him.

Yes, but I quit cause it's bad for you

Yes several times

19 What’s something that really annoys you?
Lots of things annoy me but to name a few... people who smoke right outside the entrance of a place. So everyone going in or out has to breath it in. It drives me crazy when the cat cleans herself right by my head when watching tv. It just sounds so disgusting. When your shopping and the sales person/people stalk you, like your up to no good or something. They follow you and watch u like your a theif. Ugh that really bugs me!

20 What’s something you really like?
Chocolate!!!!!!

21 Can you dance?
Yeah I think so but I usually need some alchohal in me before doin it in public. Lol
